Tina Kozak has both agency and corporate experience in the areas of strategic communications planning, reputation management, brand development and media outreach. She works with clients like American Express, ITC Holdings, RTT USA and Yazaki North America to develop strategic communications plans that leverage existing assets, complement overall business objectives and make a significant and lasting impact on target audiences. Kozak also helps her clients navigate the changing media landscape and engage in social media initiatives.
Recently Kozak lead the American Express media outreach efforts to promote the Delta SkyMiles credit card in the metro Detroit region. Through this outreach, Kozak and her team garnered favorable media coverage and helped American Express exceed internal card member acquisition forecasts by 70 percent. She also developed an awareness campaign for Alpine Electronics’ original equipment business that leveraged the company’s event sponsorship at the North American International Auto Show, an event that hosts more than 6,000 automotive journalists.
Prior to joining Franco, Kozak served as corporate communications manager for auto supplier Metaldyne Corp. She developed global communications strategies that integrated advertising/marketing, public relations, employee communications and government relations.
Kozak is a graduate of Wayne State University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a dual major in public relations and Spanish. She serves on the public relations advisory committee for the Detroit Regional News Hub and the Detroit Regional Chamber’s small business advisory council.
