Dan Ponder has provided business and marketing communications consulting for 25 years – 22 of them at Franco. As CEO, his focus is on Franco’s business development and operations oversight. He also coaches Franco clients in the areas of business and marketing plan development, crisis management, succession planning, executive outreach, fund raising and corporate charitable giving.
Dan exemplifies Franco’s commitment to the community with his active involvement in civic and charitable organizations. They include, Detroit Regional Chamber Board of Directors, and member of the Chamber’s Executive and Nominating Committees; Michigan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and current Chair of the Energy, Telecommunications & Technology Committee; Chairman of the Board for the Alliance for a Safer Greater Detroit (Crime Stoppers of Michigan); member of Governor Jennifer M. Granholm’s Blue Ribbon Committee for Medical Education and Research; Society for Nonprofit Organizations Board of Directors; Downtown Detroit Partnership Board of Trustees, and University of Michigan Dearborn’s Henry Ford Estate – Fair Lane Advisory Board.
Formerly, Dan was a member of the Private Company Advisory Service of Deloitte. He holds an executive MBA degree from Michigan State University’s Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Michigan State University’s Business School. He is a graduate of the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Leadership Detroit X.
