If you saw my last post, you’ll know we are in full-swing with the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Last week we saw hundreds of new car reveals for the media, which was followed by a sneak-peek for the industry and was capped off by the Charity Preview event.

Michigan International Speedway hosted a symposium during the North American International Auto Show. You still have time to see the show before it closes Sunday.

What you may not know is that this is the first auto show in the (almost) completely-renovated Cobo Hall (it will be complete in January 2015). But, this is the first show with the most notable and impactful renovations – such as the Grand Ballrooms and the Atrium. So, how did it go?

The atrium – which is floor to ceiling glass – hosted a number of spectacular and crowded events – from the North American Car and Truck of the Year awards to the NASCAR R & D and Racing Panel hosted by Michigan International Speedway to Vice President Joe Biden and of course, Sheryl Crow’s performance during Charity Preview.

And the public seems to be just as curious as the industry people – with attendance for 2014’s opening day beating the previous year. Visitors can rest their feet and grab a bite to eat from the Centerplate catering “Detroit Made Kitchen” in the food court.

The show is now through Sun. Jan. 26, so what are you waiting for? Go check it out!
