The world around us is rapidly changing at a pace that’s happening before our very eyes. The media industry is no exception. As PR professionals, we’re obligated to be aware of the developing industry and its movers, shakers and reporters. In our latest Media Matters series, we wanted to focus on how traditional media is having to make room for more digital channels. Craig Fahle is no stranger to an evolving media atmosphere, and this last year he embraced the era of live streaming.
He spent the past four years at the Detroit Lank Bank Authority as the Director of Public Affairs, and with a background of more than twenty years in the public radio industry, “experienced” would be an understatement when describing Craig Fahle’s professional career. Fahle has been in a variety of roles including public radio journalist, news anchor, editor and talk show host, just to name a few.
His daily talk show, The Craig Fahle Show, is available for streaming on demand, but also allows you to listen live during the actual broadcast every weekday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The show focuses on current, relevant events in metro Detroit as well as surrounding areas of the state. Be it politics, business happenings, sports or cultural events – if it’s impacting the community, then you can expect it to be discussed on Fahle’s podcast.
Impactful, and sometimes difficult, conversations are met with open, honest debate in a way that’s productive for all parties participating and listening. Guests on his show have included journalists, politicians, musicians and business leaders to name a few. Fahle often interviews experts found right here in Detroit. His local guests serve as a reminder that this city and its people often deserve more credit than they receive.
Fahle’s visit to Franco provided authentic insight on live streaming and the journey that media and storytelling has taken to get to where it is in today’s current environment. He provided tips on what components make a compelling story, gave a perspective on how to better gain the attention of reporters and talked us through his process of genuinely connecting with guests on the show.
If you’re looking for a new way to stay in-the-know on what’s impacting the Detroit community, then tune in to The Craig Fahle Show on your lunch break or commute home. You won’t be disappointed.
Thank you for taking the time to visit us, Craig!
