Last summer I detailed my adventures with convertibles and crustaceans while driving up the New England coastline with the Haartz Corporation. Now that we are in the middle of summer, my travel plans are kicking into full swing. From coast to coast, it’s gearing up to be a busy summer.
In May, Franco’s automotive team traveled west to Homer, Michigan for the Grand Opening of Brembo Brakes Homer Manufacturing Operations. From presentations to factory tours to dinner, the event was a huge success.
One week later I found myself up north at Mackinac Island with the Detroit Regional Chamber during the annual Mackinac Policy Conference. While the key decision makers, business and policy leaders were tackling the tough issues facing our state, Franco was interviewing these folks about the conference and why it is the one event each year that produces tangible results for the state. The interviews will be added to the existing promotional video for the conference.

By the way, our work on that video recently won an award of excellence from the American Chamber of Commerce of Executives! Congrats are in order for Franco and the Chamber!
Last week, I headed to LA for a Ride and Drive with Alpine Electronics of America. In January, Alpine announced a new 9-inch audio-video-navigation (AVN) system – the largest aftermarket car stereo system for the North American aftermarket. The product is now available at select dealers across the country. Stay tuned for all the huge details (pun intended).
And last but not least, in August, members of the Franco auto team will be headed to Traverse City for the Center for Automotive Research Management Briefing Seminars. I’ll be sitting this one out, but I’m sure there will be great insights for the automotive industry.
Where are you headed? Let us know in the comments below.
