We didn’t let the winter blues get us down in February! From the streets of NYC, to making beard wax and eating pizza in The D, our people were everywhere last month. Here’s what we were up to in February:

Comedy for a Cause

Prior to laughing the night away at The Salvation Army’s 9th annual Comedy for a Cause, Account Manager Andrea Kenski and Assistant Account Executive Tracy Wolf stopped by WXYZ to promote the event with Major Tim Meyer and comedian Brad Upton. All proceeds raised at the funny fundraiser benefit the nonprofit’s Bed & Bread program.

Beard Wax

The Detroit Grooming Co team (Senior Designer Ashley Dupuy, Senior Digital Account Executive Neekita Singla and Senior Digital Account Executive Lexi Trimpe) had a chance to tour the lab. They even got to pour a few beard waxes. Lexi is pictured below.

NYC

President Tina Kozak and Vice President of Strategy Nikki Little hit the streets of New York for a little bit of work and a lot of play, visiting a client in NYC before seeing Oprah LIVE in Brooklyn!

PRSA Detroit’s Tales from the Dark Side

Senior Account Executive Jeff Sell, Vice President Pat Adanti-Joy, Executive Vice President Tina Sullivan and Account Supervisor Megan Bonelli attended PRSA Detroit’s Tales from the Dark Side event that featured former journalists who are now in the PR industry. The panel included our very own Integrated Media Consultant Ed Garsten who has the best of both worlds, as he is also a Forbes contributor. It was an excellent event with great media relations insights!

Speed Mentoring at Eastern Michigan University

Megan visited the Eastern Michigan University’s PRSSA chapter this month.  She was part of a speed mentoring event, speaking with students and reviewing their resumes. We love meeting eager students!

Salvation Army Bed and Bread Club Radiothon

Our nonprofit team was Doing the Most Good at The Salvation Army’s 33rd annual Bed and Bread Club Radiothon. This year’s event raised over $1.6 million to fight hunger and homelessness in metro Detroit.

Pizza = Love

What says love better than pizza? Our Buddy’s Pizza team had so much fun throwing a Valentine’s Day pizza eating competition at Buddy’s new downtown Detroit location. Couples had to eat an entire four-square Buddy’s Pizza without using their hands. The winning team (pictured with hearts) won free Buddy’s Pizza for a year!

Making Sandwiches

For our Franco Frolic this quarter, our whole team volunteered at Salvation Army’s Harbor Light to help with the Bed and Bread program. Our team made over 3,000 sandwiches to feed our neighbors in need.

We had so much fun in February. Stay tuned to see where March takes us!
