David discusses his team’s work managing and promoting Downtown’s parks, public spaces and the exciting events that happen in the city every day. His team oversees an impressive portfolio of 1,600 events and programs annually, catering to over four million visitors.
David highlights upcoming major events, including the 2024 NFL Draft, the Detroit Grand Prix and the Detroit Tree Lighting. Franco completed an ownership transition from former majority owner and chairman Dan Ponder to CEO Tina Kozak, who is now the majority shareholder and owner of Franco. Tina Sullivan and Nikki Little continue to own minority shares in the business. With this transition, Franco is now not only women-led but also women-owned!
