Franco managed a complex grand opening event for Plastic Omnium, a global automotive supplier headquartered in France. Reporting dually to France and the local management team in Michigan, Franco designed, planned and implemented a detailed grand opening event celebrating the revival of manufacturing in Michigan and demonstrating the improving strength of the French-American business partnership.
Franco was responsible for planning and managing every detail of the grand opening, from nearly 18,000 square feet of high-end tenting and executive mobile restrooms to the complex run of show, catering, entertainment, plant tour, executive transportation, parking, invitations and RSVPs and global VIP coordination. Franco also handled the development of marketing collateral materials and handled all public relations and media relations efforts supporting the international event.
More than 300 people attended including customers, a global board of directors, government leaders, partners in business and international dignitaries including the French Ambassador to the United States François Delattre.
The grand opening event resulted in local, trade and international media coverage including all Detroit television outlets, The Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, Associated Press, WardsAuto World, Plastics News and Agence France-Presse (AFP) among others.
