Franconians have had busy schedules throughout autumn. Competitive spirits surfaced during our staff chili cookoff, we hosted a handful of special guests at the office, and came together to volunteer for a meaningful cause. Here’s how October unfolded at Franco:
Shared Pizza At The Zoo
Franconians took a trip to the Detroit Zoo where we were able to watch the residents (aka some amazing animals) snack on Buddy’s Pizza. Afterwards, there was a ribbon cutting in honor of the grand opening of the new location and a check presentation where Buddy’s Pizza donated $1,000 to the Zoological Society.
Participated In The Podium Safety Tour
Safety First! Senior Account Executive Megan Bonelli, Chief Executive Officer Daniel Ponder and President Tina Kozak took the GMRenCen podium safety tour this month to learn more about our impressive building.
Brought The Heat With A Chili Cookoff
Office Manager Lori Cook and Vice President Pat Adanti-Joy tied up the votes and both earned the honor of Best Chili Dish. We all had a great time tasting everyone’s delicious creations. However, only these two ladies will get to see their names engraved on the office cooking competition plague.
Looked For Future Interns
Senior Account Executives Megan Bonelli and Lauren Connor spent time recruiting at Wayne State University’s Journalism Internship Fair. Be sure to say stop by and chat if you ever see our team out and about looking for new talent!
Enjoyed Delicious Seafood
Our fearless leader and CEO Daniel Ponder hosted lunch at Joe Muer, here in the GMRENCEN, to welcome our new Franconians from the past few months. Everyone had a great time sharing their latest client projects, and most even had room for dessert!
Gained Insight On Media Relations
Integrated Media Consultant Ed Garsten shared his media relations wisdom with the team this month and boy did we learn tons! The team had a great time hearing from Ed, and with more than 45 years in multimedia experience, he had lots of valuable takeaways.
Welcomed Daily Detroit Insiders To The Franco Office
We recently hosted The Daily Detroit to talk to our team about their podcast, eblast and website. They provided great media relations tips, insights about the city and so much more. Thank you for your time Sven and Jeremiah!
Volunteered With Life Remodeled
Our staff definitely got into the weeds while supporting Life Remodeled. By transforming Detroit neighborhoods, the nonprofit organization aids in bridging people across divides while working on a shared community project.
It felt like October was over before we even realized it had begun! Stay tuned for what our team is up to throughout November.
